Lovecraftian Puzzle

In a world brimming with video games, finding a truly unique title can be challenging. My Father Lied, however, stands out with its compelling narrative. This mystery/Lovecraftian puzzle adventure captivates with its intriguing story.

My Father Lied: An Indie Developer's Vision

The game's creation story is fascinating. Ahmed Alameen, the developer, initially pursued writing and filmmaking. A collaborative game project with a college friend fell through, but the core narrative lingered. Alameen, driven by his vision, independently learned 3D modeling and Unreal Engine, bringing his concept to life. Even the title itself resulted from a collaborative brainstorming session with his wife.

Unraveling the Mystery

My Father Lied plunges players into a captivating mystery steeped in ancient Mesopotamian myths, filled with secrets, puzzles, and unexpected twists. Players step into the shoes of Huda, a young woman grappling with a twenty-year-old question: what happened to her father? The answer, as the story unfolds, is far from straightforward.

Drawing inspiration from 7,000 years of Mesopotamian culture, the game blends ancient lore with modern storytelling. The gameplay features simple point-and-click mechanics, avoiding complex controls, and showcases beautiful 2D visuals and 360-degree imagery.
