Application Description

The OBD 2 engine ECU diagnostics tool, designed to work with Wi-Fi/Bluetooth ELM327 adapters, offers an extensive range of features to enhance your vehicle diagnostics experience. This powerful application not only displays data from various electronic vehicle blocks but also presents real-time graphics that can be saved and reviewed later. Furthermore, it efficiently shows and resets engine fault codes / DTC trouble codes, ensuring you can quickly address any issues that arise.

One of the standout features of this tool is its ability to set customizable minimum and maximum values for each sensor/PID. When these thresholds are breached, an alarm is triggered, alerting you to potential problems before they escalate. The application supports both Bluetooth ELM327 and Wi-Fi ELM327 OBD adapters, with a recommendation to use adapters from version 1.5 due to reported issues with version 2.1.

Important Note: ELM327 chips are compatible only with vehicles that support OBD2 standards. This includes cars manufactured in the USA since 1996, in Europe since 2001 for gasoline cars and 2003 for diesel, and in Japan since approximately 2000.

In addition to standard OBDII parameters, the tool supports special parameters for various car brands, enhancing its utility across a broad spectrum of vehicles. Here are some of the supported brands and their respective parameters:

  • BMW: DIESEL, E91+AT
  • BYD: MT20U, ABS

Please note that not all PIDs listed for a particular car brand may be supported by your specific vehicle. To streamline your experience, you can select the required PID types in the "Settings / PID types" section.

For certain car brands, such as some Mitsubishi models, the application allows you to control various systems (e.g., turning on a cooling fan or gasoline pump). To read MUT parameters and control actuators on Mitsubishi models with CAN bus (like Montero/Pajero IV, Outlander 2, etc.), you should create a profile with the ISO 9141-2 protocol. For reading CAN parameters, use the ISO 15765-4 CAN (11bit 500K) protocol or set it to automatic. Keep in mind that not all Mitsubishi CAN-bus models support ISO 9141-2 connectivity.

The tool offers ample opportunities for creating your own parameters, catering to your specific needs.
