The studio envisioned a terrifying experience, leveraging the rich source material of Tolkien's works, which are rife with dark plots perfectly suited to a tense, atmospheric horror game. The potential for frightening encounters with iconic figures like the Nazgûl or Gollum fueled fan excitement.
However, securing the necessary rights proved impossible. Bloober Team's current focus is on Cronos: The New Dawn, and potentially further collaborations with Konami on Silent Hill titles.
