NieR: Automata - Where To Get Warped Wire

NieR: Automata's vast enemy roster drops a variety of materials crucial for pod and weapon upgrades. While many materials are readily acquired during normal gameplay, some, like Warped Wire, require targeted farming. This guide pinpoints an efficient Warped Wire farming location.

Warped Wire Farming Location in NieR: Automata

Warped Wire is a potential drop from stacked bipedal machines. These enemies, while not formidable, have limited spawn locations. The most reliable spot is near the Desert Camp fast travel point. Proceed along the path towards the main desert. Before reaching the open desert, you'll traverse mountainous terrain following a pipe, passing through ruins. This area consistently spawns multiple stacked machines.

Two small clearings near ruined structures are ideal farming spots. All machines in these areas are the stacked variety. Warped Wire boasts a decent drop rate; expect one or two per clearing. Equipping a Drop Rate Up plug-in chip significantly accelerates the process.

Respawning Enemies for Efficient Farming:

To expedite farming, utilize these enemy respawning techniques:

  • Fast Travel: Fast travel to a different location and then return to Desert Camp. This instantly respawns all enemies.
  • Distance Respawn: Running a significant distance away and returning will also respawn enemies, though fast traveling is considerably faster.

Chip Recommendations:

Investing in drop rate increase chips is highly recommended, not just for Warped Wire, but for numerous upgrade materials dropped by machines throughout the game. Similarly, movement speed increase chips reduce travel time between fast travel points, benefiting both material farming and side quests.
