New TD Game Draws Inspiration from geoDefense: Sphere Defense

Sphere Defense: A Classic Tower Defense Experience on Android

Tomnoki Studio's Sphere Defense is a new tower defense game for Android, drawing inspiration from the acclaimed geoDefense. The developer, a fan of the original, aimed to recreate its elegantly simple yet challenging gameplay.

The Core Concept

Earth, or "The Sphere," faces imminent destruction from alien invaders. Humanity, forced underground, has developed new technology to fight back. Years of struggle culminate in a counteroffensive led by the player, tasked with saving the planet.

Gameplay follows the classic tower defense formula: deploy units with unique strengths to repel waves of enemies. Successful engagements yield resources for expansion and upgrades. Increasing difficulty levels demand strategic thinking.

Three difficulty settings (easy, normal, hard) each feature 10 stages, with playtime ranging from 5 to 15 minutes per stage. See the game in action:

Diverse Turret Arsenal

Sphere Defense offers seven distinct unit types, allowing for strategic combinations. Attack units include the Standard Attack Turret (single-target), Area Attack Turret (area-of-effect), and Piercing Attack Turret (for tightly grouped enemies).

Support units, such as the Cooling Turret and Incendiary Turret, enhance attack unit effectiveness. Specialized support-attack units like the Fixed-Point Attack Unit (precise missile strikes) and Linear Attack Unit (satellite laser fire) add further tactical depth.

Download Sphere Defense from the Google Play Store and experience this engaging tower defense game. Also, check out our latest news on CarX Drift Racing 3's new Android features.
