Snapchat has introduced a new feature for 2024: Snap Recap, offering a fun, visual summary of your year on the platform. Unlike data-heavy recaps from services like Spotify Wrapped, Snap Recap presents a curated selection of your snaps, typically one for each month. It's a more casual, less analytical look back at your 2024 Snapchat activity.

Accessing Your 2024 Snap Recap

The 2024 Snap Recap is automatically generated and easily accessible. Simply swipe up from the main camera screen to open Memories. Don't press the shutter button; just swipe. Your Snap Recap should appear prominently at the top of the Memories screen.

Tap the Snap Recap (avoiding the share icon) to view your personalized recap. The selected snaps and videos play automatically, but you can tap the screen to advance through them. You can save, edit, share, or even add your recap to your Story. Remember, your recap remains private unless you choose to share it.

Why You Might Not See a Recap

If your 2024 Snap Recap isn't yet visible, don't worry. Snapchat Support indicates a staggered rollout, so it may simply not be generated yet. The number of saved Snaps is a factor in whether a recap is created; infrequent Snapchat usage might also prevent one from appearing. Unfortunately, requesting a recap if it doesn't automatically appear isn't currently possible.
