Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 2 Streamlines Camo Progression with New Tracking Feature

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 2 launched today, introducing a game-changing feature: Camo Challenge Tracking. This handy tool simplifies the often-grueling camo unlock process. Let's explore how it works.

Simplified Camo and Calling Card Tracking in Black Ops 6

The patch notes describe Camo Challenge Tracking as a system allowing players to manually track up to 10 Camo and 10 Calling Card Challenges simultaneously. A particularly useful aspect is its "Near Completion" notification system. This alerts players to challenges nearing completion, even if they aren't among the 10 actively tracked.

This feature eliminates the need to constantly check the main menu for progress. Players can now monitor their progress in real-time during matches.

How to Track Your Progress

To add a camo or calling card challenge to your tracker, navigate to the challenge and press Y (Xbox) or Triangle (PlayStation). This allows you to monitor your progress during gameplay, rather than only after matches conclude.

The game also automatically highlights near-completion challenges, even those not manually tracked, providing a convenient overview in the Daily Challenges section of the Black Ops 6 lobby.

Improved Camo Unlock Requirements

The Season 2 update also adjusted camo unlock requirements. Previously, unlocking special camos required nine preceding military camos. This has been reduced to five, making the process significantly less daunting. However, two special camos are still needed to unlock mastery camos.

This change directly addresses player feedback regarding the sheer number of camos and the difficulty of tracking progress. Treyarch's responsiveness to player concerns is evident in this update, enhancing the overall Black Ops 6 experience.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC
