Finding Rosa's Book in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2: A Crucial Side Quest
Missing side quests can lead to failure, and Rosa's Book is one such easily overlooked task. This guide details its location and importance.
Prerequisites:
Before embarking on this quest, ensure you've completed "Via Argentum" and started "Taking French Leave." After assisting the Ruthard family with Vavak (through combat or diplomacy), speak with Rosa. She'll reveal a secret passage to Maleshov, crucial for rescuing Hans, and request you retrieve a book for her. This initiates "Rosa's Book."

Important Note: This quest is only accessible during "Taking French Leave." Failing to retrieve the book before leaving with Hans results in a failed quest and prevents a potential romance with Rosa.
Locating the Book:
Upon entering Maleshov, Hans is located in the tallest tower. Use the external stairs to access the tower. Inside, you'll find another staircase and a small kitchen. Wait for the guards above to leave before proceeding.

Stealthily ascend the stairs. You'll encounter Lady Ofka in a room. Knock her out, collect the keys from her, the podium, and the sword from the chest. Rosa's book is a red volume in a window alcove to the right of the fireplace. Grab it; your objective will update.

Additional Tip: The adjacent room contains another sword. Taking it saves time later, as Hans requires two weapons.
After unlocking the door on the left (top level) and completing the ensuing cutscene, continue "Taking French Leave." Guide Hans to the stables, ensuring his safe passage. Once the quest concludes, return to Kuttenberg City and deliver Rosa's book to complete the side quest.
