Marvel is set to bring back a villain from the inaugural Marvel Cinematic Universe film, Iron Man, in the upcoming Vision Quest series. Faran Tahir is slated to reprise his role as Raza Hamidmi al-Wazar, the leader of the Afghanistan terrorist group who initially captured Tony Stark in the opening scenes of the 2008 film. After nearly two decades, this character will return to the MCU, joining the likes of Samuel Sterns from The Incredible Hulk, who is also making a comeback in Captain America: Brave New World.

While Raza initially led a seemingly generic terrorist group, later developments in the MCU's Phase 4 revealed connections to the Ten Rings organization, a significant element introduced in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings in 2021. This retroactively positions Raza as a commander within the Ten Rings, potentially setting the stage for a narrative link between Shang-Chi and Vision Quest through his character.
Vision Quest will feature Paul Bettany reprising his role as White Vision following the events of WandaVision. The series aims to explore and possibly revive forgotten aspects of the MCU, much like Deadpool & Wolverine did with elements from the Fox Marvel universe. Additionally, James Spader is rumored to return as Ultron, marking his first appearance since Avengers: Age of Ultron. However, details about the series remain scarce, with no release date announced yet.
