Marauder Tech Games has kicked off the open alpha test of Price of Glory: War Strategy. It’s a tactical game and has a classic medieval fantasy vibe. Turn-based, head-to-head duelling and strategy are what it brings.Here’s the SetupThe game is set in a gritty medieval world with stunning but brutal landscapes, from deserts to forests to lava-filled arenas. Each turn, you’re advancing your troops, positioning them and making tactical decisions to keep your stronghold safe and chip away at the enemy’s defences.You pick from a range of factions and troops, from scouts who can reveal hidden areas to knights ready to charge in, backed up by healers to keep everyone alive. The game is asynchronous, so you can take your time planning your moves with a 24-hour turn limit. For fast action, the blitz mode lets you battle in five-minute rounds.Price of Glory offers modes for everyone. Skirmish mode gives you a quick, low-stakes skirmish to try out a new strategy. So, jump in, test out ideas, and see what works. Then it also offers tournaments with single-elimination brackets and bigger prizes.There are also salt tournaments and cash tournaments. Salt tournaments are free-to-play, where you earn salt crystals by watching ads or doing small tasks. You can later spend it to enter cash tournaments for a chance at real winnings.Animo is the core resource used to bring in new units, move them, attack or pull off special abilities. You only get a limited amount of Animo each turn, so every decision counts, especially when you’re facing off against real players.Price of Glory has its open alpha test live for Android across North America and Oceania.
