Osmos, the acclaimed cell-absorbing puzzle game, returns to Android! Previously removed due to playability issues stemming from outdated porting technology, developer Hemisphere Games has resurrected it with a completely revamped port.
For those unfamiliar, Osmos is a unique, award-winning puzzle where you absorb smaller organisms while avoiding becoming prey yourself. Its simple yet engaging gameplay made it a hit, but Android users were left in the dark for years.
Now, finally available on modern Android operating systems, Osmos offers a fresh and optimized experience. Hemisphere Games explains in a blog post that the original Android version, developed with Apportable, became difficult to update after Apportable's closure. The game's removal was necessary as it only functioned on obsolete 32-bit Android systems. This new release rectifies that.
