Hyper Light Breaker features seven crucial resources vital for gear acquisition, permanent upgrades, enhanced survivability, and character roster expansion. Understanding how to obtain and utilize these resources is key to mastering the game. This guide clarifies their acquisition and application. Bright Blood, the most common resource, is earned by defeating enemies, destroying objects, and opening crates in the Overgrowth. Selling gear to Hub vendors also yields Bright Blood.

Gold Rations are earned by completing Cycles. Early game Cycles involve dying four times and depleting all Rezes. Afterward, an NPC near the Hub's Telepad requires specific materials to reset the Overgrowth, progressing towards Gold Ration acquisition.
Gold Rations are crucial for meta-progression, specifically unlocking permanent upgrades via Pherus Bit in the Hub. They also unlock new vendor services.
Abyss Stones are obtained by defeating Crowns, challenging bosses found through Overgrowth gates. Prism collection (locations marked by yellow diamonds on the map) is a prerequisite for Crown battles.
Like Gold Rations, Abyss Stones are meta-progression resources, used to upgrade Sycom stats and unlock new characters during loadout confirmation before entering the Overgrowth.
Keys are occasionally found in unmarked small containers within the Overgrowth.
Their function is to bypass barriers, granting access to Stashes and other containers, as well as entry to Labs containing enemies and items.
MediGems, crucial for Medkit acquisition, are earned by interacting with glowing Overgrowth flowers.
Before using MediGems, Medkit capacity must be expanded to one using a Gold Ration at Pherus Bit in the Hub.
Cores, another meta-progression resource, are sometimes found in Overgrowth Stashes (marked by chest icons) or crafted by combining four Core Shards. Shards are obtained from enemies that award Prisms (yellow diamond markers) and unmarked lootable objects.
