Kemco's new visual novel, Together We Live, arrives exclusively on Android, offering a poignant post-apocalyptic narrative exploring human sin and redemption. Already available on Steam, this title delves into a compelling story.
A Journey of Atonement
Together We Live introduces Kyoya, whose journey begins mysteriously. He awakens in a dimly lit room in the year 4000, nearly two millennia from his last memory. Earth is a desolate wasteland, and he encounters a girl burdened by a heavy mission.
This girl is trapped in a cycle of repeated death and rebirth, endlessly atoning for humanity's sins. Witnessing her suffering, Kyoya seeks to introduce her to the concept of happiness.
The narrative's pacing may initially feel slow, but the plot's twists and turns, along with seemingly insignificant details, later gain significant weight.
For those interested, Together We Live is readily accessible.
A Thought-Provoking Experience
Unlike many visual novels, Together We Live eschews player choices, presenting a linear, interactive story. Its simple yet charming art style effectively blends beauty and sorrow. The girl's fully voiced performance adds a haunting depth to the narrative.
Currently available in English, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese, the game lacks controller support. It's priced at $9.99 on the Google Play Store, or free with a Play Pass subscription.
