Acknowledging the sensitive timing given recent devastating wildfires in the Los Angeles area, IDW has announced that all proceeds from Godzilla vs. Los Angeles #1 will be donated to the Book Industry Charitable Foundation (Binc), supporting bookstores and comic shops impacted by the fires. In a statement to IGN, associate editor Nicolas Niño highlighted the anthology's celebration of Los Angeles' creative talent, featuring stories ranging from Godzilla battling giant lowrider mechs to navigating the city's subway system. Niño emphasized the theme of Angelenos uniting against an overwhelming force of nature, mirroring the city's resilience in the face of adversity. The donation to Binc further underscores this commitment to the community.
Godzilla vs. Los Angeles #1 will be released April 30, 2025, with final orders due March 24.
