
Rome's newest attraction: GAMM, the city's largest video game museum, is now open! Located in Piazza della Repubblica, this impressive museum is the creation of Marco Accordi Rickards, a writer, journalist, professor, and CEO of Vigamus.
Rickards, a passionate advocate for preserving video game history and culture, describes GAMM as a captivating journey blending historical context, technological advancements, and immersive gameplay exploration. GAMM builds upon the legacy of Vigamus, another successful Rome-based gaming museum that has welcomed over two million visitors since its 2012 opening.
This expansive museum, covering 700 square meters across two floors, features three distinct thematic areas:

GAMMDOME: An interactive digital playground featuring historical gaming artifacts (consoles, donations, etc.) alongside engaging interactive stations. The experience is built around the 4E concept: Experience, Exhibition, Education, and Entertainment.

Path of Arcadia (PARC): A nostalgic trip back to the golden age of arcade games, showcasing classic titles from the late 1970s through the 1980s, with a touch of early 1990s nostalgia.

Historical Playground (HIP): A deep dive into game design, mechanics, and interactive structures. Think of it as an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the evolution of video games.
