The December 2024 PS Plus Extra and Premium additions, including Forspoken and Sonic Frontiers, generated surprisingly positive initial feedback. However, this enthusiasm quickly waned for some Forspoken players. Many abandoned the game within hours, citing poor storytelling and "ridiculous dialogue" as key reasons. While others appreciated the combat, parkour, and exploration, a common sentiment emerged: Forspoken's narrative and dialogue significantly detract from the overall experience.
PS Plus's free offering, it seems, hasn't revitalized Forspoken's reception. The game's inherent inconsistencies continue to be a major point of contention.
