Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Update Reverses Controversial Zombies Change
Treyarch has addressed player concerns regarding recent changes to Black Ops 6's Zombies mode, specifically the Directed Mode spawn delay. Following negative feedback, the January 9th update reverted the change that extended the time between rounds and zombie spawns after five looped rounds. The original spawn delay (approximately 20 seconds) has been reinstated.
This update also includes several bug fixes:
- Citadelle des Morts: Resolved issues causing crashes when using the Void Sheath Augment with Elemental Swords, corrected visual effect glitches, and fixed navigation problems in Directed Mode related to quest progression and stamp acquisition.
- Shadow Rift Ammo Mod: Received significant buffs, increasing activation rates for normal, special, and elite enemies (with Big Game Augment) and reducing its cooldown by 25%.
Beyond Zombies, the update features:
- Global Fixes: Resolved issues affecting Maya's "Joyride" skin visibility, the Events tab's visual appearance, and in-game audio for event milestones.
- Multiplayer: Increased XP rewards in Red Light, Green Light mode and implemented various stability improvements.
- Limited Time Mode (LTM) Adjustments: Added Liberty Falls to the Red Light, Green Light map rotation and increased the round cap to 20.
Looking Ahead:
Further bug fixes and updates are scheduled for January 28th with the launch of Black Ops 6 Season 2. Specifically, fixes for the Vermin double-attack bug and the Terminus speedrun issue are planned for this release. Players are encouraged to complete the Citadelle des Morts main quest before the end of Season 1 Reloaded.
