Mahjong School is your go-to destination for learning how to play Mahjong. We focus on helping you master Japanese-style Mahjong, which closely resembles European (Riichi) and US styles. While it may differ slightly from Chinese, Hong Kong, or Taiwanese styles, mastering Japanese Mahjong will make transitioning to other styles a breeze.

Mahjong School offers three ways to enhance your Japanese Mahjong learning experience:

1. The Mahjong Calculator:

   • Add tiles to your hand or declare TING, CHOW, PON, CHI to create a winning hand.
   • Set various conditions like DORA and self-draw.
   • The calculator will calculate your hand's FU and points, providing detailed descriptions including hand names.

2. The Simple Tutorial:

   • This tutorial lists all the HAN, including an example hand and a description.

3. A Practice Mode:

   • Play Mahjong directly against AI. Our entry-level AI is incredibly friendly for Mahjong learners. Practice is the key to mastering Mahjong.
