Application Description

If you're concerned about the security of your WiFi network, checking for vulnerabilities is crucial, especially with tools like WPSApp that utilize the WPS protocol. This protocol enables you to connect to WiFi networks using an 8-digit pin number, often pre-set by the router manufacturer. Unfortunately, many routers' pins are either known or can be calculated, posing a significant security risk.

WPSApp leverages these known pins to attempt connections and assess your network's vulnerability. It employs various algorithms to generate pins and includes default pins, as well as calculating default keys for certain routers. Additionally, the app allows you to view WiFi passwords stored on your device, scan devices connected to your network, and analyze the quality of WiFi channels.

Using WPSApp is straightforward. When you scan nearby networks, you'll see networks marked with a red cross; these are considered "secure" as they have the WPS protocol disabled and their default passwords are unknown. Networks marked with a question mark have WPS enabled, but the pin is unknown; here, WPSApp can test common pins. Networks with a green tick are likely vulnerable, indicating that the WPS protocol is enabled and the pin is known. Alternatively, if the router has WPS disabled but the password is known, it will also appear in green, allowing connection via the key.

To access some features, including viewing passwords, connecting on Android 9/10, and other functionalities, you'll need to be a Root user.

It's important to note that not all networks are vulnerable, and a network appearing vulnerable doesn't guarantee it is. Many router manufacturers have updated their firmware to address these issues.

If you find your network is vulnerable, take action immediately. Disable WPS and change your password to a strong, personalized one.

Please be aware that intruding on foreign networks is illegal and punishable by law. The developer is not responsible for any misuse of the application.

From Android 6 (Marshmallow) onwards, you need to grant location permissions to use WPSApp, a new requirement introduced by Google. For more information, visit: Google's Android 6.0 Changes.

Some Samsung models encrypt passwords, displaying them as a long series of hexadecimal digits. You may need to seek further information online or contact the developer for decryption guidance.

Note that pin connection does not work on LG models running Android 7 (Nougat) due to issues with LG's software.
