Application Description

This application allows you to enjoy the "Taiko-san Jiro 2" experience by playing TJA files on your Android device. It's designed to be compatible with the TJA files from the PC software "Taiko Sanjiro 2", bringing the rhythm game to your mobile.

Please note that due to the wide variety of Android devices available, we cannot guarantee compatibility with all models. We apologize, but we cannot offer support for devices on which the application does not launch.

We also want to clarify that we do not provide assistance with obtaining TJA files or skins. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.

How to Add a Song

To add a song to the application, follow these steps:

1. Create the TJA Folder: When you first launch the application, a "TJA" folder will be created in the root directory of your device's internal storage or SD card.

2. Organize Your Songs: Inside the "TJA" folder, create a new folder for the genre of the song you want to add. Place your TJA file within this genre folder.

3. Genre Classification: If you don't include a genre.ini file in the genre folder, the song will be categorized under "Uncategorized".

4. High Score Limitations: Please be aware that on Android 4.4 or later, you may encounter issues saving high scores.

5. Record Location: You can now set the "record location" in the application settings, so be sure to choose your preferred package.

How to Add a Skin

The application supports skins from "Taiko Sanjiro 2", although some features may not be fully implemented. Note that skins from the original "Taiko-san Jiro" are not compatible.

To add a skin, refer to the theme-default/default.csv file. Keep in mind that performance may vary depending on your device model and the complexity of the skin data.

Contents of genre.ini

To ensure your folder is recognized as a genre folder, include a genre.ini file with the following content:

• Due to Android's enhanced security features, the application can no longer access folders outside of the app-specific directories. If you've updated the app, please manually copy the default "/TJA" folder to "Android/data/com.daijiro.taiko2/files/TJA" using a file management application.
• Several bug fixes have been implemented to improve the overall user experience.
