Application Description
High-Quality USB Camera Viewer & HDMI Display
Transform your device into a versatile portable display for Cameras, Gaming Consoles, Laptops, PCs, or any other devices with HDMI output by using an HDMI to USB C dongle (also known as a UVC capture device or Video Capture Card, not a USB C hub or USB C to HDMI cable). Noir also supports Cameras, Endoscopes, and Microscopes equipped with USB streaming capabilities. Noir facilitates UVC video streaming and UAC audio streaming, allowing you to choose between OpenGL ES and Vulkan for your graphics backend. The free version provides essential functionalities and an immersive experience (with ads outside of the preview). Opt for the pro version to unlock additional features and contribute to Noir's ongoing development and maintenance.

FAQ
- Why doesn't Noir recognize my device?
Your device might not support USB Host (OTG) or the connected device may not be a Video Capture Card. Additionally, some devices may require a USB hub for extra power to support the capture card.
- Why is the preview so laggy?
Lag can often be attributed to the USB version. Ensure you're using a USB 3.0 capture card with a compatible USB 3.0 cable and port. For USB 2.0 cards, stick to MJPEG format and keep the resolution at 1080p30fps or below.
- Why did my capture card suddenly stop working?
System issues often cause this. A simple restart of your phone or tablet can resolve the issue.
- Why does my gaming console or Video playback device display a black screen?
This is commonly seen with PS5 and PS4 due to HDCP being enabled. Disable HDCP via the console's settings. Note that PS3 does not support HDCP disabling. For other devices, consider using an HDMI splitter that bypasses HDCP, though this isn't officially recommended here.
- Why are resolutions other than 16:9 and 4:3 not supported?
Current capture cards typically don't support other ratios. Use Noir's Stretch feature to adjust to your desired ratio, ensuring your capture card's EDID and your device's output resolution are compatible.
