Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Lineup: A Snowy Start and Stellar Additions

Xbox Game Pass is kicking off 2025 with a fresh batch of titles, starting with a strong addition for Ultimate subscribers: Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders, launching January 21st as a day-one game. While the first half of January saw primarily tier shifts, the second half promises a more substantial update.

Initially exclusive to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders offers a thrilling skiing experience with cooperative and PvP modes. This marks another day-one title following the recent subscription tier changes.

Beyond Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders, January 2025's Game Pass offerings are expanding significantly. Three more day-one games are slated for release later in the month: Eternal Strands (January 28th), Sniper Elite: Resistance (January 30th), and Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector (January 31st).

Of particular note is Eternal Strands, an action-adventure game developed by Yellow Brick Games, boasting a distinct Zelda-esque aesthetic. This title, along with the other day-one releases, will be available at no extra cost to Game Pass Ultimate subscribers.

The full list of Xbox Game Pass games for January 2025 includes:

  • Carrion - January 2nd
  • Road 96 - January 7th
  • Diablo - January 14th
  • EA Sports UFC 3 - January 14th
  • Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders - January 21st
  • Eternal Strands - January 28th
  • Sniper Elite: Resistance - January 30th
  • Citizen Sleeper 2 - January 31st

While February 2025 currently appears less packed, with Avowed confirmed for February 18th (Xbox Game Pass Ultimate), Game Pass Ultimate members can anticipate a strong finish to January with several exciting day-one releases.
