Marvel's Spider-Man 2: PC Release Date and PSN Requirement
Get ready, web-slingers! Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is swinging onto PC on January 30, 2025. This highly anticipated sequel to the critically acclaimed PlayStation exclusives will feature enhanced visuals and PC-specific optimizations.
Developed by Nixxes Software in collaboration with Insomniac Games, the PC version promises ray tracing, ultrawide monitor support, and customizable graphical settings. While the DualSense controller's haptic feedback and adaptive triggers won't be replicated, keyboard and mouse support will ensure a smooth PC experience.
The PC release will include all previously released content updates, adding twelve new suits (including Symbiote Suit styles), New Game+ mode, "Ultimate Levels," new time-of-day options, post-game achievements, and enhanced Photo Mode features. The Digital Deluxe Edition will offer even more. However, no new story content will be added.
A significant drawback is the requirement of a PlayStation Network (PSN) account, mirroring a trend in other PlayStation PC ports. This unfortunately restricts access for players in regions lacking PSN availability. While Sony previously reversed a similar policy for Helldivers 2, the concern remains valid for those affected.
Despite this, the PC launch marks a significant step in bringing Sony's exclusive titles to a wider audience. Game8 awarded the PS5 version an 88, praising it as a superb sequel. For those eager to experience the thrilling adventures of Peter and Miles on PC, January 30th, 2025 can't arrive soon enough.
