Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2 enjoyed a positive launch, but, like many recent releases, experienced initial technical difficulties. However, the developers of this eagerly awaited sequel have responded to player feedback!
Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2 Early Access Hampered by Server ProblemsStill Achieved a Steam Milestone!
Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2 had a somewhat challenging launch, with numerous reported technical problems. The game's early access release earlier this week saw players encountering various issues, including server problems, frame rate drops, stuttering, black screens, and unending loading screens. A common complaint centers on the "Joining Server Bug" in the PvE Operations mode, where players become trapped on a connection screen with minimal progress.
In response, Focus Home Entertainment addressed the situation in a community update, expressing gratitude for player input and confirming active development of solutions. "First, we appreciate your issue reports and feedback. We are diligently working on fixes," they stated. The update also listed other prevalent problems, such as crashes during opening cutscenes and controller malfunctions.
Additionally, Focus Home Interactive noted that linking Steam and Epic accounts is unnecessary to play the game. In the post, the team specified, "please be aware linking your Steam and Epic accounts is optional. These features are entirely optional and will not impact your gameplay experience in any way."
Players encountering server problems are advised to retry matchmaking if they are returned to the main menu or the Battle Barge after a failed connection attempt. While inconvenient, this workaround might resolve the problem for some players until a permanent solution is implemented.
