Tactical Adventures has released a free demo for Solasta: Crown of the Magister 2, their highly anticipated turn-based tactical RPG set in the Dungeons & Dragons universe. This sequel invites players to assemble a party of four heroes and embark on a thrilling adventure through the mystical lands of Neokhos, a journey filled with challenges, choices, and the pursuit of redemption against an ancient, looming threat. Players will enjoy unparalleled freedom in exploration and decision-making, with meaningful choices directly impacting the narrative and its outcome.
The demo retains the core features that made the original Solasta a hit, including tactical turn-based combat, extensive character creation options offering deep customization, and dynamic interactions with a cast of memorable NPCs. New players will appreciate the helpful “Helpful Dice” feature, enabled by default, which mitigates frustrating streaks of unlucky rolls. Experienced players can, of course, disable this feature for a more challenging experience. Strategic use of the environment is key; master the terrain to gain a tactical edge in challenging battles.
Play solo or team up with friends in cooperative multiplayer, reminiscent of Divinity: Original Sin. The demo offers a diverse range of class-based challenges and encounters, providing a compelling taste of the full game’s depth and strategic complexity. Tactical Adventures encourages players to share their feedback to help shape the final product.
System requirements are moderate: At a minimum, you'll need an Intel Core i5-8400 CPU, 16 GB of RAM, and either an NVIDIA GTX 1060 or AMD RX 580 GPU for a smooth and enjoyable gaming experience.
