At this year's DICE Summit, Riot Games co-founder Marc Merrill shared his vision for the future, highlighting a highly anticipated project: a massively multiplayer online (MMO) game set within the rich worlds of League of Legends and Arcane. Merrill confessed that this MMO consumes a significant portion of his time, fueled by his personal passion for the genre and a deep understanding of the fervent desire among League of Legends fans for deeper immersion in their beloved universe.
While specifics remain scarce, including any potential release date, Merrill playfully suggested a launch before humanity's first Martian landing. The feasibility of this prediction, of course, remains to be seen.
It's important to note that another League of Legends-universe game is also in the works: 2XKO, a fighting game eagerly awaited by fans. Unlike the MMO, 2XKO boasts trailers and a projected release window—before the year's end.
