Get Ready for Excitement: Ultimate Guide to the Pocket Lapras Event

The Pokémon TCG Pocket Lapras EX Drop Event: A Comprehensive Guide

Pokémon TCG Pocket constantly expands its card roster. This guide covers the Lapras EX drop event, detailing how to participate and maximize your rewards.

Event Duration:

The Lapras EX event runs from November 5th to November 18th, 12:59 a.m. Eastern Time. Players can battle for new card variants and the coveted Lapras EX. Additional rewards include Pack Hourglasses for opening more booster packs.

Event Participation:

  1. Update: Ensure your Pokémon TCG Pocket app is updated.
  2. Battles Tab: Navigate to the "Battles" tab and select "Solo."
  3. Event Selection: Choose the "Lapras EX Drop Event" category.

Four AI battles await, each using a different Lapras EX-focused deck. First-clear rewards are granted for each battle, with additional chance rewards available through repeated playthroughs.

Decks and Challenges:

The event features four battles with varying difficulty and deck compositions. Below is a summary:

All decks are Water-type, making a Lightning-type deck (like a meta Pikachu EX deck) highly effective. Only the Expert battle guarantees a Promo Pack.

Event Hourglasses:

Event stamina, consumed per battle, replenishes every 12 hours (max 5). Earned Event Hourglasses can refill stamina instantly.

Optimal Deck Strategies:

A Pikachu EX deck is highly recommended due to Lightning-type attacks dealing bonus damage to Water-type Pokémon. Alternatives include Helioptile/Heliolisk or Magnemite/Magneton lines for lower rarity challenge completion.

Promo Pack Rewards:

Promo Packs contain one card each: Mankey, Pikachu, Clefairy, Butterfree, and Lapras EX (a new variant for each except Lapras EX). Lapras EX boasts 140 HP and the "Bubble Drain" attack (80 damage, 20 HP heal).
