All Pokémon Unite Ranks, Explained

*Pokémon Unite* features a total of six ranks, each further divided into multiple classes to facilitate sub-rank progression. This allows players to incrementally advance before moving up to the next full rank. The number of classes per rank increases as you ascend the ladder, with higher ranks boasting more classes than the lower ones. Importantly, rank progression is exclusively tied to performance in ranked matches, not in quick or standard matches. Here’s a breakdown of the ranks in *Pokémon Unite*:

  • Beginner Rank (3 Classes)
  • Great Rank (4 Classes)
  • Expert Rank (5 Classes)
  • Veteran Rank (5 Classes)
  • Ultra Rank (5 Classes)
  • Master Rank

Starting Out

Your journey begins at the Beginner Rank, which is divided into three classes. To participate in ranked matches, players must reach Trainer Level 6, maintain a Fair Play score of at least 80, and possess five Pokémon licenses. Once these prerequisites are met, you can dive into the ranked match mode and start your climb from the Beginner Rank.

Performance Points

In *Pokémon Unite*, Performance Points are earned through ranked matches, serving as the currency for rank progression. Players can earn between 5 to 15 points based on their performance, 10 points for good sportsmanship, another 10 for participation, and an additional 10 to 50 points for maintaining a winning streak. Each rank has a cap on Performance Points, after which players earn Diamond Points, crucial for advancing. Here are the Performance Point caps for each rank:

  • Beginner Rank: 80 Points
  • Great Rank: 120 Points
  • Expert Rank: 200 Points
  • Veteran Rank: 300 Points
  • Ultra Rank: 400 Points
  • Master Rank: N/A

Advancing and Advancement Rewards

Advancing in *Pokémon Unite* hinges on accumulating Diamond Points. Four Diamond Points will elevate you to the next class within your current rank. Once you max out the classes in your current rank, you'll move to the first class of the subsequent rank. You gain one Diamond Point for each ranked match victory and lose one for each defeat. Additionally, once you've hit the Performance Point cap for your rank, you'll continue to earn one Diamond Point per match.

At the end of each season, *Pokémon Unite* rewards players with Aeos Tickets based on their rank, with higher ranks yielding more tickets. These tickets are essential for purchasing items and upgrades in the Aeos Emporium. Some ranks also offer unique seasonal rewards, adding to the excitement of climbing the ranks.

Armed with this knowledge, you're ready to tackle the ranked matches in *Pokémon Unite* and climb through the classes and ranks. Aim for the top and secure the best rewards to showcase your dominance in the game.

*Pokémon Unite is available now on mobile devices and the Nintendo Switch.*
