Shadow Raids, introduced in 2023, provide a unique way to obtain Shadow Pokémon after defeating Team GO Rocket. 2024 saw numerous engaging events, including the return of Shadow Moltres and Shadow Mewtwo. Ho-Oh, a Legendary Bird of Kanto, was originally added in 2020, with Shadow Mewtwo debuting at Pokémon GO Fest that same year. This event marks another exciting return of a powerful Pokémon.
Shadow Ho-Oh will star in the January 19th Shadow Raid Day, running from 2 PM to 5 PM local time. This Legendary Pokémon will appear in five-star raids, with increased shiny Shadow Ho-Oh encounter rates. Players can obtain up to five free Raid Passes from spinning Gyms, increasing to seven. A Charged TM can teach Ho-Oh the powerful Charged Attack, Sacred Fire (130 power in Trainer Battles, 120 in Raids and Gyms).
