The much-anticipated Pokemon GO Fest 2025 will span three days in three different cities:
More event specifics will be revealed in March, but expect the same thrilling experience as previous years, including rare Pokemon encounters, exclusive items, and special bonuses. Remember, event details are subject to change, so stay tuned for updates!
Pokemon GO Fest is renowned for its unique opportunities: capture rare Pokemon unavailable through standard gameplay (like 2024's Dusk Mane Necrozma, Dawn Wings Necrozma, and Marshadow!), increased Shiny Pokemon encounter rates, and location-specific Pokemon appearances.
In-person attendees enjoy exclusive merchandise, themed sets, community hubs, and team lounges—a fantastic chance to connect with fellow trainers!
Beyond the GO Fest announcement, Niantic revealed two exciting January events:
Fashion Week: Taken Over: January 15th (12:00 pm) - January 19th (8:00 pm) local time. Rescue Shadow Palkia, encounter debuting Pokemon Shroodle and Grafaiai (from 12km Eggs), and more Shadow Pokemon. Keep an eye out for a fashionable Croagunk!
Shadow Raid Day (Ho-Oh): January 19th (2:00 pm - 5:00 pm) local time. Challenge Five-Star Shadow Raids for a chance to catch Shadow Ho-Oh. A $5 ticket unlocks eight Raid Passes, increased Rare Candy XL odds, 2x Stardust, 50% more Raid XP, and a boosted Shiny Ho-Oh encounter rate. Lucky catches can learn the signature move, Sacred Fire!
