March is buzzing with excitement in *Pokemon GO* as we gear up for the Bug Out event, a celebration dedicated to bug-type Pokemon. The Bug Out event in *Pokemon GO* kicks off on March 26 at 10 AM local time and continues until 8 PM local time on March 30. That's five full days to immerse yourself in the world of bug-type Pokemon. This event is perfect for Shiny hunters, as nearly all featured Pokemon have a Shiny form available in *Pokemon GO*.
During the Bug Out event, you'll encounter an increased number of the following bug-type Pokemon in the wild:
Two new additions to *Pokemon GO* will debut during the Bug Out event: Sizzlipede and its evolution, Centiskorch. You can evolve Sizzlipede into Centiskorch with 50 Sizzlipede Candy.

Trainers will enjoy the following bonuses during the Bug Out event:
Engage with event-themed Field Research tasks by spinning PokeStops, which can reward you with Mega Energy, Scatterbug Candy, and encounters with event Pokemon. Timed Research will offer rewards such as a Lure Module and encounters with event Pokemon, while Paid Timed Research provides a Lure Module, two Premium Battle Passes, and encounters with event Pokemon. Make sure to complete both types of research and claim your rewards before the event ends.

The Bug Out event will feature Collection Challenges focused on event-themed Pokemon. Completing these challenges will reward you with Stardust, XP, and encounters with event-themed Pokemon.
