Meridiem Games, Omori's European publisher, has cancelled the physical release of the game for Nintendo Switch and PS4 in Europe. The cancellation, announced via Twitter (X), cites technical difficulties related to multilingual European localization.

A String of Postponements Leads to Cancellation
The physical release, initially slated for March 2023, faced multiple delays, pushing it to December 2023, then March 2024, and finally to January 2025. Pre-orders were subsequently cancelled by retailers like Amazon. Meridiem Games offered limited details regarding the specific localization issues.
This cancellation is a significant disappointment for European fans, particularly as it would have marked the first official release of the game in Spanish and other European languages. While a digital version is available, European players now must resort to importing US copies to obtain a physical version.
