Nintendo's Alarmo alarm clock: Japan launch delayed due to high demand. Read on for details about the postponement and future availability.
Japan-Wide Sales Postponed
Nintendo Japan has announced a postponement of the general retail release of the Alarmo alarm clock. Initially slated for February 2025, the launch has been delayed due to production and inventory constraints. A new release date hasn't been set. The impact on international availability (currently scheduled for March 2025) remains unclear.
In the interim, a pre-order system is being implemented exclusively for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers in Japan. Pre-orders are expected to open in mid-December, with shipments beginning in early February 2025. Specific pre-order dates will be announced shortly.
The Nintendo Alarmo: A Popular Alarm Clock
Launched globally in October, the Alarmo features iconic music from beloved Nintendo franchises like Super Mario, Zelda, Pikmin, Splatoon, and Ring Fit Adventure. Further sounds are planned via future updates.
The Alarmo's unexpected popularity led to the suspension of online orders and a lottery system for purchases. Both online and physical stock in Japan (and even the New York Nintendo store) quickly sold out.
