Get Ready for Monster Hunter Wilds' Second Open Beta!
Missed the first Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta? A second chance arrives in early February, bringing new content and features! This extended beta test allows players another opportunity to experience the game before its official launch on February 28th, 2025.
New Monster, New Hunt
Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto announced the news via a video on the official Monster Hunter YouTube channel. The beta will run in two sessions: February 6th-9th and February 13th-16th, available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
This second beta includes exciting additions absent from the first, most notably the chance to hunt the returning Gypceros! Character data from the previous beta can be carried over and transferred to the full game, although progress won't be saved.
Beta participants receive in-game rewards: a decorative Stuffed Felyne Teddy for weapons/Seikret, plus a special bonus item pack to aid early-game progress.
Tsujimoto explained the decision for a second beta, stating that many players missed the first or wanted another chance to play. While recent community updates detailing improvements are still under development and won't be in this beta, the team is hard at work to refine the full game experience.
Monster Hunter Wilds launches February 28th, 2025, on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Get ready to hunt!
