The preview also highlights unique features of the set, such as the introduction of Summons. These are Magic's first-ever Saga creatures that players can summon for aid in battle, exemplified by Summon: Shiva in the gallery. Additionally, the set brings back double-faced cards, as seen with Cecil's transformation from Dark Knight to Redeemed Paladin.
The Final Fantasy set is set to be expansive, boasting over 100 legendary creature cards, including 55 legendary borderless cards illustrated by beloved artists from the Final Fantasy series. This set will be fully draftable and Standard-legal, launching on June 13 alongside four preconstructed Commander decks. Each deck is themed around a different Final Fantasy game: 6, 7, 10, and 14. These decks will contain 100 cards each, blending new Final Fantasy cards with existing cards featuring new Final Fantasy-themed art.
