Activists have targeted the upcoming Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 following the discovery of subpoenas within the game's code, sparking a campaign to cancel the project.
The controversy gained traction after online reports surfaced regarding the game's ban in Saudi Arabia, fueling speculation about its content and alleged "progressive" themes. This led to a wave of online attacks against the developers, with calls for boycotts and cancellation of the game.
Warhorse Studios' PR manager, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, responded to the controversy, urging the public to rely on official statements and avoid spreading unverified online information.
Stolz-Zwilling confirmed that review codes will be distributed in the coming days, following the game's completion in early December. These codes are expected to be released approximately four weeks prior to launch, allowing streamers and reviewers ample time to prepare their content. Interestingly, initial "final previews" based on review copies are anticipated just a week later.
