While you can forge friendships with nearly everyone in *Fields of Mistria*, romance is exclusive to a select group of NPCs. As of the v0.13.0 update, you have the option to pursue a romantic relationship with one of 11 NPCs, including Caldarus himself.
Each romanceable NPC has a heart meter that fills based on your interactions with them. To build a romantic relationship with a specific NPC, engage with them regularly and cater to their preferences. Start by **talking to them daily**, which can seamlessly integrate with your routine tasks around town. Regular conversation can significantly boost their affection. Additionally, make it a priority to complete any requests they post on the town board, as this provides more opportunities to increase their heart gauge.
Lastly, you can **give them a gift once per day**. Opt for items they particularly like or love, which vary from character to character. You can either gather or craft these items. On their birthday, ensure you gift them something they love, which will substantially enhance their heart gauge.
Be mindful that currently, NPC heart gauges can only reach up to **six hearts**. The cutscene triggered at six hearts hints at budding feelings but not a fully developed romance yet.
According to the game's roadmap, future updates will introduce 8 and 10-heart events for romanceable NPCs, along with options for marriage and children, ensuring your romance in *Fields of Mistria* has room to flourish.
Juniper is one of the many characters you can romance in *Fields of Mistria*. When she's not foraging for unique witchcraft ingredients, you can find her managing the bathhouse in the northeastern part of town.
To win Juniper's heart, focus on visiting her frequently, fulfilling her requests on the town board, and presenting her with thoughtful daily gifts. Juniper has a range of items she "likes" and "loves," and you can mix and match them.
