The eagerly awaited 2D platformer, Jump King, has made its soft-launch debut on Android, initially released on PC back in 2019. Developed by Nexile and published on Android by UKIYO, the game is now available in select regions, including the UK, Canada, the Philippines, and Denmark. Players in these countries can enjoy the game for free during this soft-launch phase, with a global rollout planned for the near future.
Jump King is a unique challenge centered around perfecting the art of jumping. Your ultimate goal? Reaching the top to meet the "Smoking Hot Babe." The game mechanics are straightforward yet demanding: charge your jump by holding, release to leap, and aim to land precisely where you intend. There are no second chances in mid-air; every jump counts. As you ascend, the stakes get higher, and a single misstep can send you plummeting, potentially erasing hours of progress in mere seconds. You begin with 20 hearts, losing one with each fall. Run out of hearts, and you'll need to either wait for the daily fortune wheel to grant you 5 to 100 free hearts or opt to purchase more. It's a test of patience and precision, aptly named Jump King.
Expansions Available in the Mobile Version
Once you conquer the base game, the adventure doesn't end there. The mobile version includes two free expansions: New Babe+ and Ghost of the Babe. New Babe+ introduces a seemingly familiar yet distinct world, pushing you to demonstrate your mastery of jumping. Meanwhile, Ghost of the Babe transports you to a desolate landscape beyond Philosopher’s Forest, prompting existential questions about your climb. These expansions add depth and replay value to the already challenging game.
Jump King encapsulates the cycle of leaping, falling, cursing, and trying again. If you're located in one of the soft-launch regions, head over to the Google Play Store and give it a shot.
