After being accused of using a "booster" service to level up a character in Path of Exile 2 to level 97, Ilon Musk took to sharing private messages with a streamer to defend himself.
The controversy erupted following a 32-minute video released by Asmongold, where he delved into the allegations of "cheating" against Musk. The video suggested that Musk might have either bought a high-level character or had someone else level it up for him. Asmongold emphasized that achieving level 97 requires a significant investment of time, casting doubts on how Musk could manage such a feat alongside his responsibilities at SpaceX, Tesla, and X.
Moreover, players noted that during Musk's streams, he appeared inexperienced, which seemed inconsistent with someone who had supposedly leveled a character from zero to 97.

In response to Asmongold's video, Musk retorted by suggesting that Asmongold also "needs to coordinate with the boss." He further claimed that the streamer had to consult with a team of editors before posting content on the X network.
Asmongold countered by clarifying that he does not have a boss and that the editors he consults with are employed by him. He pointed out that this is a standard practice among many YouTube and Twitch streamers, allowing them to concentrate on content creation while delegating editing tasks.
According to Asmongold, Musk's comments only served to highlight his lack of understanding about the behind-the-scenes processes of content creation.
