Honkai Impact 3rd Unveils Sunlit Chapter with v8.0 Update

Honkai Impact 3rd is gearing up to drop its v8.0 update, In Search of the Sun. It’s launching on January 9th and you’ll get to see Durandal in her new avatar and some new suits. There are also special events dropping as part of the update.

Here’s the Breakdown

Honkai Impact 3rd v8.0 update, Durandal’s new battlesuit is making its debut. Also, Durandal has turned smaller which has made her more agile. Called Reign Solaris, her new battlesuit is an IMG-type Physical DMG dealer with two distinct forms.

In Rampager mode, Durandal unleashes a flurry of javelin attacks. Switch to Skyrider form and suddenly she’s zipping around on a hoverboard, delivering lightning-fast combos. Her ultimate move is launching herself into the sky, hurling her javelin and absolutely nuking her foes.

Honkai Impact 3rd v8.0 update brings some new gear to the game. The Valorous Effulgence weapon and its upgraded PRI-ARM version, New Voyage, are tailor-made for Reign Solaris. Equip them and you’ll unlock enhanced QTEs and extra javelins.

There’s also a new Illuminating the Universe stigma set that showcases Durandal’s parallel universe adventures. You’ll see soccer, bands, skateboarding and more stuff!

The Main Story Is Getting a Major Update too

Part 2 Chapter VII: Bouquets of Unfulfilled Wishes takes you back to Mars, where Dreamseeker and her squad continue their deep dive into the Ten Shus War. They uncover more about Coralie’s tragic fate and encounter someone tied to the mysterious eye in Helia’s mind.

And there’s also a new cube game. Vita and little Durandal team up to scrub out dirty data and you’ll be solving puzzles as Cube-ianka. Rewards here include 60 million Crystals, Source Prisms and more.

Lastly, the Countdown: To Sweet Dreams event adds a dash of comedy to the update. Familiar faces like Mei, Theresa, Fu Hua and Herrscher of Sentience are back, and you might even see Griseo, Carole and Vita.

This event has a boss fight where you help Kiana dodge falling drumsticks and retaliate with drumbeats. You’ll also be commanding followers in battles and even becoming a monster trainer. Emblems, Crystals and Source Prisms, with Senadina’s sleek new outfit, Steering Inequations, are up for grabs in this one.
