Beloved Bethesda voice actor Wes Johnson, known for his roles in Skyrim, Fallout 3, Starfield, and numerous other titles, has shared a moving update on his recovery after a near-fatal incident. Last week, he was found critically ill in his hotel room, barely alive.
A video posted on his GoFundMe page, which has already raised an impressive $174,653 for medical expenses, reveals that he was in a coma. "I've discovered an overwhelming amount of love in this world, more than I ever knew existed," Johnson shared, expressing deep gratitude to his supporters.

Johnson, who also serves as a Washington Capitals announcer, was in Atlanta for a National Alzheimer's Foundation benefit event. His absence raised concerns, leading his wife, Kim Johnson, to contact the hotel. Security personnel and EMTs found him with a barely detectable pulse.
"The rumors of my demise were greatly exaggerated, but it was incredibly close," Johnson stated in the video. "I'm alive thanks to my wife's quick thinking in calling the hotel, my son contacting security, and the swift actions of medical professionals. They rushed me to the hospital and induced a coma. I was there for five days before learning about the GoFundMe established by my dear friends Bill Glasser, Shari Elliker, and Kim."
He extended heartfelt thanks to the National Alzheimer's Association for supporting his family, Ted Leonsis (Washington Capitals parent company chairman) for a generous $25,000 donation, and Glasser and Elliker for their instrumental efforts. Johnson also expressed gratitude to Bethesda for their public show of support. "You say I'm your friend; I am, and always will be. I love you guys," he conveyed. He concluded with a message to his fans: "I love you all. I'm not going anywhere. Recovery will take time, but I'm coming back. I look forward to seeing and hearing from you all soon. Cheers."
Johnson's extensive voice acting career includes a wide range of film and television roles, but he's particularly renowned for his work with Bethesda. His recent roles include Ron Hope in Starfield, along with memorable characters like Sheogorath and Lucien Lachance in Oblivion, several Daedric Princes in Morrowind, Fawkes and Maister Burke in Fallout 3, Hermaeus Mora and Emperor Titus Mede II in Skyrim, and Moe Cronin in Fallout 4, among many others.
