Even after you've rolled credits in *Monster Hunter Wilds*, there's still plenty to see and do as you delve into the High Rank content. Here's how to get and use Frenzy Shards and Crystals in *Monster Hunter Wilds*.
Getting Frenzy Shards in Monster Hunter Wilds
Frenzy Shards are obtained by defeating Frenzied monsters in *Monster Hunter Wilds*. These monsters, infected with the Frenzy Virus, start appearing during High Rank missions. Although they may resemble their regular counterparts, don't underestimate them. Frenzied monsters are significantly more aggressive and deal much more damage, posing a serious threat. Upon defeating or capturing a Frenzied monster, you'll acquire Frenzy Shards, which are essential for forging new weapons and armor.
Getting Frenzy Crystals in Monster Hunter Wilds
Frenzy Crystals, another crucial crafting material, can only be obtained from Gore Magala. When you wound Gore Magala and destroy those wounds, there's a chance you'll obtain a Frenzy Crystal. You can start encountering Gore Magala in High Rank quests, particularly after unlocking the optional quest titled "Misty Depths."
How to Use Frenzy Shards and Crystals
Frenzy Shards function similarly to other crafting materials in the game. To utilize them, head to Base Camp and speak with Gemma to start crafting new gear. Here's a list of gear that requires Frenzy Shards:

How to Find Frenzied Monsters
Most High Rank optional quests will feature Frenzied monsters. The only monsters in the game that do not carry the Frenzy Virus are Zoh, Shia, Arkveld, and Gore Magala itself. However, you can still farm Gore Magala for Frenzy Crystals since it's the source of the virus.
