Fortnite Unintentionally Re-Releases Paradigm SkinPlayers Can Retain the Item
Fortnite players were excited on August 6 when the highly sought-after Paradigm skin unexpectedly reappeared in the game's item shop. The skin, initially released as a limited-time exclusive in Chapter 1 Season X, had been unavailable for five years.
Fortnite promptly clarified that the skin's reappearance was "due to an error" and announced plans to remove it from players' Lockers and provide refunds. However, after community pushback, the developer reversed course.
In a tweet posted two hours after the initial announcement, Fortnite stated that players who purchased the Paradigm skin could keep it. "Purchased Paradigm tonight? You can keep her," the developers stated. "Her unintentional return to the Shop is on us... so if you purchased The Paradigm during this evening's rotation, you can keep this Outfit and we'll refund your V-Bucks shortly."
To preserve exclusivity for those who originally obtained the skin, Fortnite promised to create a unique, new variant exclusively for them.
