Initially announced in 2018, the Devil May Cry anime is confirmed to have an eight-episode first season. While plot specifics remain shrouded in mystery, the series appears to center around Dante, mirroring his characterization from the first three Devil May Cry games rather than Devil May Cry 5. However, any direct game connections are yet to be officially confirmed. Interestingly, Dante will be voiced by Johnny Yong Bosch, who is known for voicing Nero in the video game franchise.
The most recent Devil May Cry game, Devil May Cry 5 (2019), marked a triumphant return for the series after a period of relative inactivity following the release of DmC: Devil May Cry in 2013. Critically acclaimed as a top-tier action game, it's highly recommended, especially for fans of titles like Ninja Gaiden Black 2. Read our comprehensive Devil May Cry 5 review for a detailed analysis.
