Embarking on your *Dynasty Warriors: Origins* adventure? Gems are essential for turning the tide of battle, and crafting them is key. Here's how to acquire and utilize these powerful items.
Crafting Gems in Dynasty Warriors: Origins
Unlocking the ability to craft Gems requires a few initial steps. After joining Liu Bei's Volunteer Army in Chapter 1, visit an Inn. You'll receive a letter from Zhang Fei, introducing you to Gems and their raw material: Pyroxene.
Pyroxene is found throughout the overworld as large, jewel-like formations. These spawn randomly, so keep an eye out while traveling between battles. You can also obtain Pyroxene as rewards for completing side quests, collecting Old Coins, and reading letters at the Inn, ensuring a steady supply.

Once you've gathered Pyroxene, return to an Inn to craft Gems. The crafting process is randomized. Regardless of the amount of Pyroxene used (one or ten), the resulting Gem type is unpredictable. However, a white glowing aura around a Gem in the crafting menu indicates that only that type of Gem can be crafted during that visit.

Gems level up as you craft them. Refining enough Pyroxene into a specific Gem type enhances its benefits. These are primarily buffs, and since you can only equip one Gem at a time early in Dynasty Warriors: Origins, choose wisely. For instance, the Wellspring Gem heals you for every 100 enemies slain, ideal for large-scale battles.
Conversely, the Ascendence Gem increases your chance of blocking officer attacks, making it more effective in one-on-one duels. While initially minor, these buffs can significantly impact your battles with time.
And that's how you craft Gems in Dynasty Warriors: Origins.
Dynasty Warriors: Origins is now available on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
