Microids is bringing back the classic action-adventure game, Little Big Adventure – Twinsen's Quest, a reimagined version of the 1994 original, to major platforms this autumn. This updated release boasts modern enhancements while retaining the charm of the original. Developed by 2.21 and published by Microids (currently developing a new Totally Spies game), this remake honors the legacy of Adeline Software International, the original developer now defunct.
This exciting reimagining features a compelling storyline with thought-provoking themes. Gamers can expect refined level design, improved controls, an enhanced version of Twinsen's signature weapon, a fresh artistic style, and a new soundtrack composed by the original's composer, Philippe Vachey (known for his work on Alone in the Dark).
A Return to Twinsun
Little Big Adventure – Twinsen's Quest transports players back to Twinsun, a planet inhabited by four harmonious species. This peace is shattered by Dr. Funfrock's invention of cloning and teleportation, leading to his tyrannical rule. Players assume the role of Twinsen, embarking on an epic quest filled with challenging puzzles and formidable enemies to overthrow Funfrock and restore balance to Twinsun.
The game’s history includes a 2011 GOG.com release for PC and Mac, followed by Android and iOS versions. Hints of a new installment emerged as early as 2021, with announcements from 2.21 and co-creator Didier Chanfray (of Time Commando fame). Their efforts culminate in Little Big Adventure – Twinsen's Quest, launching later this year on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG).
