Firaxis Games has just unveiled an exciting post-launch roadmap for Sid Meier’s Civilization 7 during a special livestream event. The roadmap promises a slew of updates and new content throughout 2025, catering to fans eager to dive deeper into the latest installment of the iconic strategy series.
The team at Firaxis is set to roll out several DLC pack collections in the coming year, which will introduce new Leaders, Civilizations, and Natural Wonders. Alongside these paid expansions, players can look forward to free content delivered through patches, events, and other updates. This mix of paid and free content ensures there's something for everyone, whether you're looking to expand your gameplay experience or enjoy new features at no extra cost.
The highlight of the paid DLC is the two-part Crossroads of the World Collection. The first part, launching in early March, will introduce Leader Ada Lovelace, four Natural Wonders, and the Carthage and Great Britain Civilizations. The second part, arriving later in March, will feature Leader Simon Bolívar and the Civilizations of Bulgaria and Nepal. Free content slated for March includes the Natural Wonder Battle event and the Bermuda Triangle Natural Wonder in the first half, followed by the Marvelous Mountains event and Mount Everest Natural Wonder in the second half.
March is just the beginning, as Firaxis plans to keep the momentum going with the Right Rule Collection this summer, which will bring two new leaders, four new Civilizations, and four New World Wonders. The period from April to September will also see the release of more free updates and content, ensuring a steady stream of new experiences for players.
Firaxis promises even more post-launch support from October 2025 "and beyond," with specific release dates to be announced. The roadmap (below) illustrates a comprehensive plan to keep the game fresh and engaging well into the future.
