Sony Pictures has thrilling news for anime fans: Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc is set to slash its way into US theaters on October 29, 2025. The announcement came during Sony's CinemaCon presentation, where they revealed acquiring the worldwide theatrical rights, excluding Japan, to bring Tatsuki Fujimoto’s captivating story to the big screen this fall. US viewers can mark their calendars for late October, while over 80 other countries will get a sneak peek on September 24, 2025. In Japan, Toho will handle the release on September 19, 2025.
The Chainsaw Man movie, announced in December 2023, is a direct sequel to the MAPPA-produced anime that debuted in 2022. It follows the journey of Denji, a boy who gains a second chance at life through a pact with the Chainsaw Devil dog, Pochita. This unique alliance grants Denji the extraordinary ability to sprout chainsaws from various parts of his body, transforming him into the formidable Chainsaw Man.
Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc will introduce fans to the new character Reze, a pivotal figure from the original manga.
