Breakable Parts: Tail and Forelegs
Recommended Elemental Attacks: Fire and Lightning
Effective Status Effects: Poison (2x), Sleep (2x), Paralysis (2x), Blastblight (2x), Stun (2x), Exhaust (2x)
Effective Items: Flash Pod, Shock Trap, Pitfall Trap
Utilizing Flash Pods
Despite its immense size, the Doshaguma possesses surprising agility. Its leaps and dashes make it a difficult target, particularly for melee fighters. A Flash Pod provides a crucial tactical advantage, temporarily stunning the creature and creating an opening for attacks or even mounting.
Strategic Targeting: Legs and Head
Prioritize attacks on the Doshaguma's forelegs, boasting a 3-star weakness for significant damage. While its hind legs have a 2-star weakness, they're a less effective target. The head also presents a 3-star weakness, offering another high-damage opportunity. Severing its tail, though less impactful damage-wise, yields valuable monster parts.
Elemental Advantage: Fire and Lightning
Maximize your damage output by utilizing fire and lightning attacks. Bowgun users should equip Flaming and Thunder ammo. For melee weapons, incorporate fire and lightning skills through weapon decorations. Fire attacks are most effective on the head and torso, while lightning strikes are best focused on the head.
Countering Blastblight
The Doshaguma inflicts Blastblight, a status ailment that culminates in an explosion if the gauge fills or you suffer a heavy attack. Counter this with Nulberries, Deodorants, or by performing up to three dodge rolls to clear the effect.
Environmental Traps
Don't overlook the environment. Doshaguma's habitat often contains natural traps. Remember to sheath your weapon before using your slinger and ensure the monster is directly above the trap before activating it.

Capturing the Doshaguma

With these strategies, you'll be well-prepared to hunt or capture the Doshaguma. Remember to enjoy a hearty meal beforehand for beneficial food buffs. Good hunting!
