Enter the Gungeon, the acclaimed 2016 bullet-hell roguelike, is launching an Android test in China. A free demo is available on TapTap from June 28th to July 8th, offering players a sneak peek into the Gungeon's chaotic depths.
This mobile demo retains the core roguelike experience, featuring unique runs and a diverse cast of misfit heroes, each with their own reasons for descending into the bullet-infested labyrinth. Expect challenging encounters, unpredictable chamber layouts, and a vast, ever-changing maze.
The controls and interface have been redesigned for optimal touchscreen play, allowing for smooth dodging and rapid-fire action. A two-player online co-op mode lets you team up with a friend to conquer the Gungeon together.
The demo provides access to the first two floors, introducing players to a range of bizarre enemies, bullet-hell boss battles, and a selection of the game's extensive arsenal, from standard firearms to outlandish inventions.
Developer feedback is crucial during this testing phase. Players are encouraged to report bugs, glitches, and optimization suggestions to help refine the mobile experience. Find the TapTap page to participate.
While currently limited to a Chinese test with a Chinese interface, the potential for a global release is high, given the game's popularity. A worldwide launch date remains unannounced.
